Are you a passionate and dedicated Montessori educator eager to guide young learners in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment? Bellevue Montessori School is seeking an experienced Lead Toddler Guide for the 2025 - 2026 school year to join our vibrant community and support children aged 18 months to 3 years old.

As a Lead Guide, you will play a pivotal role in fostering independence, curiosity, and social-emotional development in our AMS-accredited Montessori classroom. You will collaborate with a dedicated team, receive ongoing professional support, and contribute to a dynamic learning environment where children thrive.

About Our Toddler Program

Located within our beautiful Park Campus, adjacent to Hidden Valley Park, our Toddler Program provides a rich, natural setting where children explore, discover, and develop confidence. To learn more about our program, visit www.bellmontessori.com.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide toddlers through the Montessori curriculum, fostering independence and confidence and supporting their transition to the Primary Program.
• Observe and document children’s development, ensuring individualized learning experiences.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment that aligns with Montessori principles.
• Model and teach grace and courtesy, practical life skills, and social-emotional learning.
• Collaborate with assistants to ensure smooth classroom operations and consistent guidance.
• Engage with parents through initial home visits, regular communication, progress updates, and conferences.
• Foster a love for learning through hands-on experiences, sensory activities, and purposeful movement.
• Lead and mentor two classroom assistants, fostering a strong team dynamic.
• Participate in professional development and school-wide events as an active community member.

• Salary Range:  $40,000 to $55,000* (based on a 10-month calendar)

The Guide We Seek

• Montessori-certified through AMI, AMS, IAPM, MEIPN, or another MACTE-accredited program (or completing an internship in a Toddler program).
• Experienced (2+ years) working with infants and toddlers in an educational setting.
• Passionate about early childhood development and fostering independence.
• Strong communicator and collaborator with a warm and patient demeanor.
• Organized, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic classroom environment.
• Physically able to work with young children (standing for extended periods, lifting to 25 lbs).
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM (1 hour to work from home)

Additional Requirements (per DCYF regulations)

All employees must complete or obtain the following (we will guide you through this process):

• WA State Portable Background Check & fingerprinting
• Food Handler’s Permit
• Proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination
• Negative TB skin test
• CPR/First Aid & Bloodborne Pathogens Training
• 30 Hours of Basic Initial Child Care Training & ongoing 10 STARs hours/per year
